NA/10WiFi WildCam
We're really excited to introduce something we've been working on for a little while now...
Here at NatureSpy HQ we listen to customer requests and feedback. We're often asked for a small, portable, WiFi-connected and wildlife-focused camera - but there wasn't anything around that truly fitted the bill.
This is the result - the NatureSpy WiFi WildCam. App-controlled and powered by rechargeable batteries, it means you can watch your garden wildlife any time of the day or night from your smartphone or tablet - in HD too.
The built-in motion sensor is tailored to be sensitive enough for UK wildlife. It sends an alert to your smart device the moment something is happening, so you'll never miss a wild moment. You can tap on the notification and jump straight in to view what's going on.
If you're not available or you miss the alert the WiFi WildCam camera will record to the optional microSD card. You can easily access videos to view later - again, straight from your smartphone or tablet.
It's small enough that it can be placed anywhere, and is designed to be inconspicuous. Place it next to the bird table, by the nest box, the fox or hedgehog bowls - wherever you want. Its wide-angle lens means you can pack a lot in the screen. It's designed specifically to be used in more targeted ways than a standard trail camera. For small animals, we recommend placing it within 5-20ft of the activity.
What if you want to share what wildlife you capture? Just hit record on the app and you can share with family and friends via Facebook, WhatsApp, and other platforms.
When the batteries run low, you can recharge the supplied lithium batteries using the camera's USB port and you're ready to go again. The cable comes provided.
You can also link multiple cameras into the app - and even watch all at once. Call your cameras whatever you like, so you can see if you get an alert from 'Bird table' or 'Hedgehog house' at a glance.
It can be wall mounted (with a provided magnetic wall mount) or has a standard tripod screw built in. We've also designed our new MiniPod tripod to work perfectly with it.
We're excited to see what you capture! -
Watch in action
The WiFi WildCam records in crisp 1080p HD video, day and night.
You can view the action straight on your smartphone or tablet - either watching live or using the playback feature. The camera just needs a WiFi connection and your smart device must be connected to the internet.
At night, the integrated IR LEDs illuminate the area and automatically adjust depending on the conditions, ensuring the image is properly lit and clear.
If you are wanting the highest quality video possible from your wildlife camera, we'd always still recommend taking a look at the Browning Recon Force Elite HP4 - but if you want WiFi capability and good video quality, the WiFi WildCam could be the way to go.

Build quality & batteries
Warranty: 1 year (through NatureSpy)
Batteries: 2x Lithium rechargeable (supplied)We've made sure the small WiFi WildCam is as sturdy and as long lasting as possible. It's small enough that it can sit in the palm of your hand, and after initial setup you won't often need to open the camera's hinged door, as everything is via the app.
The provided batteries are rechargeable and lithium for the best performance and battery life, as well as being more environmentally friendly. You can charge these up using the microUSB port and provided USB cable on the base of the camera.
Battery life is very dependant on how active the camera is and how often you connect to it or watch live. It can last for over 6 months if checking once every few days. Most users will typically need to recharge every 2 months however.
The WiFi WildCam is also supplied with a 1 year warranty in the UK when bought through NatureSpy.

Ease of use
Making sure the camera is easy to use was a central focus. The batteries are provided with the camera, and you just need to ensure you give it at least 4 hours of charging before you get going.
There is an optional slot for a microSD card under the batteries - this is required if you want to playback motion captured events via the app.
The camera setup is straightforward and a full guide on how to do this is provided in the box with the camera, with screenshots and clear descriptions. All the set up is done directly on your smartphone or tablet.
Once up and running, you interact with your camera purely via the app. When you tap on the camera, it connects and you see exactly whats happening right then - with buttons to see playback, change settings, start recording etc as well as checking battery status and signal strength.
To set it up, you can use the magnetic wall mount provided in the box or mount on a tripod. We've designed the camera to work perfectly with our new MiniPod too.
The motion alerts list lets you see at a glance images of what you've missed, so you can go and review that specific video or time.
You can also quickly share videos or stills from the app however you want - via WhatsApp, Facebook or Instagram etc.
Detection
Detection range: max. 90ft LED type: Low-Glow Power LEDs
We've deliberately made the WiFi WildCam as sensitive as we could - capable of picking up wildlife from small mice all the way to red deer. Most of our garden wildlife visitors are small, and the WildCam can pick these up at good distances.
Hedgehogs and birds are a big part of why we developed this camera - and as you can see in the Watch in action tab, it can detect these reliably at good distances! Bear in mind that for smaller animals such as these, we recommend being within 5-15ft (as with all trail cameras).
Motion alerts come through within a few seconds, and you can be watching your garden visitors from wherever you are in just a few moments.
