Product Description

The Browning Trail Camera security boxes have been designed to work with all Browning Trail Cameras and ensures that your trail camera will stay where you put it.

The all steel construction gives maximum protection in the field and the added feature of the camouflage exterior makes your camera nearly impossible to detect in the woods.

The security box can be locked using a standard padlock or a MasterLock Python cable. (Padlocks and Cables are not included.)

What size do I need?

If you are ordering a Recon Force Edge, Recon Force Elite HP4Spec Ops Edge, or Spec Ops Elite HP4 model you will need the Edge security box (CLB-00930)

If you are ordering a Patriot, 4KRecon Force Advantage or Spec Ops Advantage model you will need the Standard sized security box (BTC-SB)

If you are ordering a Strike Force, Dark Ops or Command Ops Elite model you will need the Sub-Micro security box (BTC-SB-SM)

*Note; the product does not fit the Browning Defender, which comes in a plastic camouflage casing with security loop.

    Mixed feelings

On the one hand: it’s good to have added protection for your camera – mine is in an exposed position, vulnerable to vandalism, and the security box protects the body of the camera (it’s made of pretty strong metal) and means the memory card is impossible to remove (as long as you use a cable lock). On the other hand: the front of the camera is still exposed to any violent attack (impossible to put anything in front of the lens and sensor of course). Also, the box has to be fitted after you’ve set the camera up and turned it on, and it’s difficult to fit it without moving the camera a bit and thus changing the angle of the shot. It can also be tricky to thread the lock cable through the holes attaching the box to the camera. On balance, I feel the camera is safer with it than without it (famous last words…)
